UPDATE: Knox County Deputies arrested a robbery suspect from Sevierville on Sunday.

Matthew D. Cook of Kodak, 28, is accused of robbing a Lee's Food Mart in at 3423 Winfield Dunn Parkway on Friday. He is a former employee of the store.

ORIGINAL STORY:

(WBIR) - A former employee is suspected of robbing a Sevierville convenience store.

According to the police department, the Lee's Food Mart located at 3423 Winfield Dunn Parkway was robbed around 2:30 am Friday morning.

A store employee told officrs that a man grabbed her and demanded money from the cash register and the safe.

A warrant has been issued for Cook's arrest.
