The City of Sevierville has announced that a street will be temporarily closed to accommodate the production of the "Rootin' for Regen" movie.

Bruce Street, from the Parkway to Gary Wade Blvd., will be closed to traffic on Sunday, July 12 from around 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Motorists should consider an alternate route during this time.

The faith-based film is about a 12-year-old boy named Regen Morris from Sevier County, who was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer in 2012 that eventually claimed his life.

The film is continuing its production in Sevier County throughout the summer.
