Cal Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge nearing completion | News
(WBIR-PIGEON FORGE) A more than $22-million dollar facility for youth sports is nearing completion.
The city of Pigeon Forge shared new aerial video this week of the Cal Ripken Experience. The youth sports complex will include six stadium-style synthetic fields and a two story clubhouse.
This will be the third Ripken experience in the country, and Ripken says one of the most unique, with its mountain setting.
The mayor says work should be complete by December 31st. It will open in late February or early March.
The first tournament is also booked for March.
